Posted June 15th, 2010 by alexA customer called us recently with a need for security quick. Here's his story.
“My mom was just robbed. A gang of about 7-9 burglars broke in . My mom wasn't there, but I do like that Panic button feature for her. They used sledge hammers and axes and busted down 7 doors and smashed 2 huge double paned windows. They broke through the deadbolts and had some kind of square punch that they broke down a door with. "SimpliSafe saved my house tonight"
Posted January 28th, 2010 by MelinaA recent customer forum post reminded us of the importance of layered defense in home security. Here’s how SimpliSafe’s security system protected him:
“SimpliSafe saved my house tonight. While I was away for dinner, a burglar had entered my home through a tiny bathroom window and triggered the motion alarm. The alarm must have spooked him and he fled without taking anything. The monitoring company called and dispatched the cops, and within minutes the cops had secured my home. So I'm very thankful for that, and I believe I just recovered every penny I spent on the system. Thanks to SimpliSafe we avoided a disaster” - Harry
Our system is built to protect you with multiple layers of defense, whether you are home or away. In Away mode the system uses Entry Sensors and Motion Sensors to protect your property. When you’re home our Panic Buttons and Entry Sensors protect what matters most: you and your loved ones. Our 365/24/7 Professional Monitoring Service provides round-the-clock peace of mind.
In Harry’s case, a burglar used a window not protected by an entry sensor to gain entry, but our motion sensor caught his movements once inside. Burglars find the cleverest ways to enter a house. But no matter how creative their entry strategy, SimpliSafe has you and your home secured with our layered defense system.

Don’t get Grinched!
Posted December 11th, 2009 by alexSecure your home because burglars like presents too.
Each year our cities glow with rows of apartments stuffed with presents like garlands of stockings hanging on mantels. These are the sugar plum visions that dance in the heads of expert burglars. This year reports of Christmas gift burglaries have already begun and are expected to only get worse as Christmas draws near. To ward of these grinches, Simplisafe is releasing a Starter Kit package of its apartment security system, helping apartment renters and owners keep their gifts where they belong, under the tree. The new package is $199.99 and makes it easy to give--or get--peace of mind this holiday season.
