Quick Tip: Disable/Enable Siren Countdown Beeps

One of the great features about our 105 dB Additional Siren is that you can enable or disable the entry countdown beeps coming from the Siren. And because we’re slightly cookoo for all things easy, we made it pretty quick and easy for you to do! Just slide your Siren off of it’s backing. Then press the black ‘Programming Button’ on the back of the Additional Siren 5 times in a row. One long confirmation tone means the countdown beeps are disabled and two quick confirmation tones means the countdown beeps are enabled. That’s it.

Gotcha! Burglar Caught Red-handed: SimpliSafe Customer Saves Thousands

On January 30th at 12:08pm, a burglar set off a SimpliSafe motion sensor in a vacant home in Medford, NY. The crafty burglar then disassembled the alarm system in an attempt to disable it. Believing the alarm to be defeated, he remained on the property. What this brash burglar didn’t know was that it was too late.

Quick Tip: Plug your Keychain Remote directly into your computer

Please do not use a USB hub (such as the USB ports available on your monitor), when launching the Easy Set-up Wizard. We recommend that you plug your SimpliSafe Keychain Remote directly into a USB port on your computer. Here's why: Recently a customer reported a problem with his Keychain Remote. After changing settings in the Easy Set Up Wizard he found he could not successfully sync his remote with his Base Station.
