Alarm went off but no one called to check on me, no police arrived
Posted November 5th, 2011 by snareman
I got home tonight at 2am and my code wouldn't turn my alarm off despite repeated attempts. I wasn't getting any message that said Out of Range of base station of anything. So after the 30-45sec my alarm started sounding. I expected a call from the dispatch center but one never came and no police arrived. I wanted to call the center to see if they got the signal, but their number isn't listed anywhere. Its Friday night and so I can't contact anyone til at least Monday when the office opens to find out if my alarm is actually connected to anyone.
I was finally able to get my keyfob and turn the alarm off.
Any help or ideas?

Thanks for posting! It sounds like your Auxiliary Siren is having trouble listening to the signals from the Base Station to the Keypad, which lead to the Auxiliary Siren sounding an alarm, but not the Base Station. If the Base Station does not trigger an alarm, there is no alarm signal sent to the dispatch center.
You may need to move the Keypad a bit further from the Base Station to allow more time for the Auxiliary Siren to hear the signals, or just move the Base Station a bit closer to the Auxiliary Siren itself.
Let us know if there's anything else we can do to help!
