Can the monitoring center tell if the alarm is a panic alarm or an entry sensor or does it just come in as an alarm from the customer?

Yes, the monitoring center
Yes, the monitoring center will know if it is a panic alarm, perimeter alarm (from an entry sensor), or interior alarm (from a motion sensor).

I just wanted to quickly say
I just wanted to quickly say that (as you customer service agents know) I was having some issues with my system.. and you guys fixed it but today I finally took the time to customise the system again and once it went into test mode.. literally within a minute (and that's while they're going through the screening service to my phone) they called for my passcode and verified the test signal. WOWWWWWWWWWWW I can't wait to have this my primary home protection at university!
