Number

I know this might be a question you don't get that often, and I did not see it asked in previous forums. If the alarm gets set off and the dispatch center calls you, what number shows up? The reason I am asking is because if I don't recognize the number calling, I usually won't pick up. Thanks in advance.

The number that calls you is

The number that calls you is 800 631 XXXX where XXXX is the operator's extension.

How many attempts will the dispatch center make in trying to contact you before calling the local police?

Normally they will try each

Normally they will try each primary contact phone number once, unless they believe that the call did not go through properly. You can provide special instruction if you would like them to try more often or more phone #'s.

Is there any way the number

Is there any way the number they are calling from can be standardized. I get lots of calls from telemarketers from 800 numbers, that I ignore when I'm busy. If I could program a Simplisafe number in my phone, I'd pick it up, even when I was in the middle of something.

@ landtony

Thanks for posting! The number the monitoring service calls from is 1800-631-XXXX where the XXXX is the operators extension. Typically the first two numbers are 73XX, however it can vary. A secondary number is also 908-241-XXXX, again the XXXX being the extension of the operator. Typically, those first two numbers are 65XX.

I have to pick up this post

I have to pick up this post again (am a potential new customer).

Any changes or chances that there could be a central number which is calling?

Many times a cell phone call can not be answered (meetings etc.), if a central number exists (which can be stored in the cell phones contact), then it would show up clearly that the Alarm company calls, and that this call should be answered.

Can you give an update please? This is the only "issue" that still prevents us from getting one of your systems/services (which look very good).

Thank you!

Rick

I had the 800# in my cell

I had the 800# in my cell phone so I knew who was calling, but yesterday I got a call from the 908# and had no idea who this was. I sent an email to tech support and they provided me with a list of possible numbers that a call could come in from. Not the best solution, but one that works. Overall we have been very happy with the system!
