Keychain remote plus garage door sensor questions
Posted November 18th, 2011 by wayne_1
Hi,
Are there any plans to offer a smaller keychain remote? The one in the photo looks about twice as large as those normally offered with security systems. Since I carry my keychain in my pocket I can see that remote sending signals I did not intend it to do. Also the size of it would be uncomfortable in my pocket.
Also what about garage door sensors? Can you use the standard sensors with a normal, overhead garage door that has two steel tracks on each side of the door?
Thanks!

Thanks for the post! Unfortunately, the keychain design will remain the same at this time. They are about three inches long and about a half an inch wide. Hope that helps! As for the garage door, an entry sensor could work for you! As long as the magnet and sensor are within two inches of each other when it is closed and move away from each other when the garage is opened, it will work!

Another option for the garage
Another option for the garage is a motion sensor. That way even if the door is left open (maybe you are working in the garden?) you know when someone enters. I use one motion sensor to cover a garage with 3 regular doors, 1 overhead, and a window. It works great!
