Will the base use cellular and land line simultaneously?

Thanks for posting! The Base Station uses the land line as a back up! So it will always attempt the cell phone network first, and if it cannot get a signal out, which it will know in the first second of transmitting, it will automatically switch over to your back up phone line! Unfortunately, there will not be any notification if the land line is cut, and the base does not call you directly, it sends a signal to the monitoring service, and they attempt to contact you. However, if you have Smart Alerts and the power is cut, you would get a text message or email or both letting you know there has been a power outage!
