Alarm system doesn't work

I am currently in “practice mode” for the next 3 days which according to the installation manual means the alarm will function normally, but with no
police dispatch. My alarm is not working at all. the sensor does speak and send notifications of when it is on or off but I can come in and out of my place without the sensor doing anything at all. I open and close the door while the alarm is in "away" mode and nothing happens. How can I fix this?

I am having the same problem. Just installed yesterday, base will talk, but I can open door and windows with no alarm sound.
