Does it take a while for Smart Alerts to begin?

My system has been active for 5 days now but I have never gotten a Smart Alert when the alarm is turned on or off.
I did ask for that service and it is listed in my account.
BTW: we had a power failure for an hour earlier this week and I was happy to see it in the event logs.

Thanks for posting! Your system is sending out the Smart Alerts, you just need to finish setting them up on your online account! I see you have done step one, but have not completed step two, which is choosing which types of alerts you want to go to each device. I have completed it for you by adding your cell phone and email address to step two and choosing all the alerts. If you would like to edit this, just log onto your customer account and click your service address under 'Manage Your Security System'. Then choose the 'Manage Alerts' option in the grey bar at the top of the screen. Scroll down and you will notice step two, and from there you can check and un-check the boxes for the type of alerts you want to go to each device. Then just click save down the bottom and these changes will take effect instantly!

Is this a common problem??
Is this a common problem?? I thought I was finally getting alerts but realized that I am only getting alarm notices. No activity alerts. I e-mailed earlier and was told that I didn't get alerts while in practice mode because the base was losing connection with the keypad a lot. Personally I think that would have been a perfect time to be sending them so we knew there was an issue - but it is your set up. And since I am still not getting them I am not sure that that was the problem to begin with. Any ideas as to what is going on here??

Thanks for posting! Typically, with the problem your experiencing, the issue is that the download for your system to send them out has not been done. If you order the first month of service with Smart Alerts when you order your system, the download is taken care of for you by SimpliSafe, but if you purchase the Smart Alerts plan at the time of activation, you must perform a download. However, it looks as though the alerts are going through now and if you continue to experience problems, call our customer support line and I am sure we can help you out!

I'm past the 72 hour practice
I'm past the 72 hour practice mode, although the website still says I'm in practice mode. I received a call from the monitoring center when I performed a test so they believe I am live. I have downloaded the update for smart alerts and set them up on my profile but I am only getting alerts when I send a test. Not getting any when I turn the alarm on and off. Why not? Do I have to wait until Monday to get this resolved?

Thanks for posting! Activity and error reports can only be sent through the cell network. If you are connected through a phone line or internet, the only Smart Alerts you will receive are Alarm Events and Test Signals. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Thanks for posting! Unfortunately, Activity and Error reports will continue to be limited to the cell network. We are working on ways to improve this feature for customers connected through the phone module. Any updates to features and services will be sent via email!
