Internet connected to base station

If I want to have internet backup in addition to cellular backup, do I just plug a phone cord in the back of my wireless modem and connect it to the SimpliSafe base station? The modem and base station are about 3 feet apart in a secluded area.

I guess I don't understand how it contacts the alarm company via the internet? I am in a large city, so I know the cellular backup works.

The cellular connection is the primary connection. szyman1977 is right, you need the Broadband Adapter to use your internet connection as a backup to the cell connection. Normally it's not necessary, but if you'd like to have it, just let us know.
