No, you have to subscribe to the monitoring service to get the cellular connection and currently the only option is to have that connection professionally monitored by our dispatch center. Would you be interested in an option that offered a cellular connection, but only automated alerts (email / SMS / automated phone call, but no dispatcher to send the police)?

I personally enjoy the professional dispatch service when I actually need it.. but I think it could be a nice option to those who either don't want to or can't pay the very reasonable $14.99/month monitoring fee. Perhaps you could add a lowered tier for maybe $4.99 to $7.99/month for just automated notifications (SMS/E-Mail) to the subscriber and emergency contacts in addition to the alarm logs via "my SimpliSafe". Those who pay the $14.99/month could in addition to having the response centre, also have SMS/E-Mail notifications.. seeing how common mobile phones and smartphones are nowadays, SMS and E-Mail wouldn't be an unreasonable method of priority contact in my opinion. Hmmmmmmmm!

I do not currently own one of your systems but I will be moving in a few months and I am going to get one of your systems for our new home (Clark Howard's endorsement helps).

I would be interested in a lowered tier of service that notified my phone. I am in the military and when I am gone for the year my wife likes the full service but we almost never use the alarm (that we currently have from a big company that I am not happy with) when I am home. I think the lowered tier (if made available) would be something that we could switch to and from depending on our situation. Just a thought.

I like your product because we can take it with us when we move and you don't try to screw us with contracts.
