New Equipment Question

I am seriously looking into getting simplisafe for my home security needs. The only question/concern that I have is in regards to adding additional equipment that you might have not come out with (i.e smoke detectors, extra key pads, lighted keypads, extra sirens etc.) If I was to purchase the equipment today and lets say that you come out with smoke detectors and lighted keypads next month. Besides having to purchase the extra equipment (smoke detector and lighted keypad), will the new equipment work on the current base station, or will upgardes need to be done. Thanks for your time.

That depends on the new equipment.
The extra sirens, for example, are compatible with the existing system, so you can just purchase the siren and add it right in.
Smoke detectors and additional keypads are in development and may require an upgrade to the Base Station. If this is the case, we'll provide an upgrade path for existing customers. You wouldn't need to replace your whole system, just swap out the Base Station for a new one. There would be a charge to cover the cost of the new Base Station, but we would plan on making this as affordable as possible.
