Remote Buttons

Thanks for the suggestion! We're currently not planning on adding a home button to the remote, but instead we are updating the remote so that if you press the off and away buttons together, it will put the system in home mode. Stay tuned...

That is a much better idea, it'll save you cost with rebuilding the remote, hope to see this update released soon.

Any idea when the update for pressing the off and away buttons together on the remote will arm in "home" mode is due to come out?

I like the idea that the new (extra) remotes coming out won't have a USB attachment; I too wish there was a separate home button.
I'd also like a small red led so I can actually tell when I've pressed the button. This is especially helpful when I'm pressing two buttons together (like on the new remotes). I know it might cost some battery life, but that's ok with me!

-- if it's really an issue, how about rechargeable components? The keypad might not last very long on a charge, but charging key chain remotes (like I do my cell phone) seems reasonable.

Both a home button and conformation the system is armed would be very helpful. I was wondering what powered the remote, does it need charged or a battery replaced from time to time?

Thanks for the suggestions! The keychain remote battery needs to be replaced when low or stops functioning.

Any idea when the off+away = home update will be available? It's been over 6 months since you said it was coming.

Thanks for posting! We do not have an update on this feature yet, however, with our new Base Station and Online Command, you can arm your system in either mode remotely from any device with internet access!
