Suggestion: Descriptions for sensors
In my perfect world, when the front door opens my system would say "Front door open." When the window in my home office opens it would say "office window open."
I work with IVR systems and I know how the cunning use of programming and a good voice worker can make disparate clips sound great. I don't know how much space is left on the keychain remote but if you could render the voices as low bitrate mp3's maybe it could even be packaged as an update to the existing system? Perhaps only syncing down the voice files that would actually be used?
In the setup application, there could be a drop down for each sensor allowing the user to select the location of each sensor? Then when batteries run low or sensors drop off the network I could hear:
"office motion sensor battery low"
Hope you like the idea!

@amorrow,
We appreciate the feedback! It's a very interesting idea. I'm placing it in our product updates log for further consideration.
Thanks again,

Or possibly to simplify the effort, Allow the customer the add a comment to the Sensor number (Like D1,2,3 - W1,2,3 and M1,2,or3)
The system could then respond Door, Window, or Motion and then the number, by translating the comment. This would greatly reduce the voice work needed, and as such, simplify when an error code (Low battery) or other code needs addressing.

Voice mode definetly a great idea!!!
Even if its not voice mode,
Even if its not voice mode, it would be nice if we could assign real world names to the ID numbers on the sensors and the display would show what is open instead of just telling you that something is open.

I'm just casting a vote in favor of some/any method of quickly and easily determining which sensor has triggered.
Please add drop-down labels
Please add drop-down labels on the system setup so that I can label where each sensor is located. I thought that this was standard with security systems (like it is with electrical panels). That way, when "12HPE" is no longer communicating with the system, I do not have to physically hunt down this sensor, I would know that it was my "Master Bedroom Right Window", or whatever.

I came out to the forum to make the exact suggestion that I found in this thread: give the software the capability of assigning user-entered meaningful names to the sensors. My thought was this would be useful information to display on the keypad:
1. useful when batteries are low or a sensor is malfunctioning;
2. useful when the system becomes capable of supporting multiple keypads and when an alarm is tripped you can quickly see on your master bedroom keypad which sensor.
