I just installed my system after New Years 2010 and I wanted to post some feedback. It is absolutely perfect for my needs. I am a guy in my 30's and live by myself in a generally safe and happy urban neighborhood in Pittsburgh. I love my apt., but my landlord refuses to install deadbolts on our steel doors, and some of the other residents in our building are less than cautious about propping open our security doors etc. when they're unpacking the car, smoking or things like that. We do all exchange phone #'s and look out for each other generally.

Thanks to this system, I can finally sleep at night without worrying. I've had to get over the hump when I hear a noise now. I just remember that if someone had opened a door and come in Simplisafe would have alerted me! And I'm getting used to it. I'm on the 3rd floor with no access without a very obvious ladder, so the windows stay locked, and I think that's enough, but now my front and back doors are watched over.

I mainly use my system at night when I'm home alone, and I've been a little apprehensive of installing the motion sensor because of fear of false alarms (we get fined in my borough), but I think I'll install the motion sensor in my office which is pretty isolated from the rest of the house - and then when I want to set it as "Away" when I'm away for a weekend for example - move my valuables into that room. The customization of the system is really really impressive.

Thank you all so much for such a great system. During my 3 days of test mode the dispatch people were very nice. Also, the customer service people that I've talked to, especially Alex, have been a great help and very nice. I think you have developed a great system, and I'm so thankful. I can sleep safely. I would say "you have no idea", but maybe you do after reading your mission statement. :)

BTW: a neighbor stopped over tonight to ask about Simplisafe because they had seen the stickers on the doors. I gave a little tour and a recommended.
