How do I fix an Entry Sensor error?

Below are troubleshooting steps for errors with Entry Sensors. Please follow all the steps below to ensure you are covering all potential solutions. If these steps do not solve your error please call us at 1-888-957-4675 or email us at contact us.

1) Please ensure that you have installed all your entry sensors. If you are not using a sensor please remove it using option 4 on your Keypad Menu or with the Easy Set-up Wizard. For Detailed instructions for Adding/Removing sensors click here.

2) Occasionally Entry Sensors can have power drainage issues. Please check to see if your Sensor's light flashes when brought into proximity to the magnet. You can check by opening and closing the door or window to see if the sensor flashes when contact is reestablished. If there is not flash please email us at contact us.

3) If the sensor's light does flash, please check for a chiming sound from the base station. If you do not hear a chiming sound please double check that your sensor is properly programmed by following the steps in section 1 above. If the sensor is programmed, please check for a chiming sound from your other sensors to ensure that the Base Station is registering the other entry sensors in your system. Should the other sensors chime, but the error sensor does not, please call us or email us for a replacement. If none of the sensors chime, please contact us for more information.
