Can two android users access the video doorbell?

We have the system including the video doorbell. There are 2 of us here and we both have the app installed on our Android cell phones. I have the camera installed so I can view in on my app. We are trying to link the 2nd user on his phone but cannot seem to get it set up. Can we both view the camera and get notified on 2 cell phones?

I am having a lot of difficulty getting my wife's android registered on our account I created in Simplisafe. It seems as if the system will only let my iPhone operate off/away/home and the cameras. Can someone detail how I can get my wife's smartphone to have the same access I have? Would be very much appreciated.

A SimpliSafe system can only be set up on one SimpliSafe.com account at a time. If you would like to be able to control your SimpliSafe equipment from two different phones, you would just need to log in to the same SimpliSafe.com account on both devices. If you are having trouble getting your wife's phone logged into your account, you may need to contact our Support Team at 1-800-297-1605.

I am having an issue which I

I am having an issue which I would suggest is the next step in the process of getting two mobile devices to have access/control of the same camera. I am trying to get push notifications from that camera to go to both mobile devices. Since I set the system with my mobile device initially it knows about it and sends push notifications to it, no problems. Just cannot figure out how to get push notifications to go to my wife’s mobile device as well. Any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like there may be an issue with the push notification settings on your wife's phone. The first thing that we would need to do is to make sure that your wife's SimpliSafe app is logged into the same SimpliSafe account and that she is able to view footage from the camera. Once we've done that we need to ensure that the push notifications are set up properly; this can be done by following these instructions:

  • In the SimpliSafe app, go to the Cameras tab at the bottom.
  • Select the ⚙ Gear icon in the upper right-hand corner.
  • Tap on the camera that you would like to receive push notifications from.
  • If you would like to receive push notifications for motion events, choose the Motion Detection option and then make sure that Motion Notification is toggled on.
  • If you have a Video Doorbell Pro and would like to receive push notifications for the doorbell having been rung, make sure that the Doorbell Notification option is toggled on in the Camera Settings page.

If you're still having problems after checking those settings it may be that the SimpliSafe app on your wife's phone didn't receive permissions to allow for push notifications. An option to allow that should be somewhere in your phone's Settings app.
