Most security systems have used the same fundamental
technology for over 100 years—electric wires and phonelines.
They bait customers with so-called “free” systems then charge
hundreds for home installation and require a 3 year contract
for $1,547 in monitoring fees.
If that sounds crazy to you, give SimpliSafe a try.

burglars can’t easily get to it to smash and disable.
The Ugly: Most wireless security

The Dangerous Defects Burglars Exploit to Defeat Alarms
Watch to discover the Achilles heel found in some wireless security systems
Defect #1: Smashable Keypad
The Tool: Baseball Bat
Most alarm systems have an
Achilles heel - if a burglar smashes the keypad
quickly enough, the police don’t get alerted.
The Antidote: Decouple
SimpliSafe has solved this problem by
taking the “brains” out of the Keypad and putting them
into a separate Base Station, which is hidden somewhere
in your home or office building. When an alarm is triggered,
the Base Station stays quiet while it alerts the monitoring service.
Once the alert has been safely sent, the Base Station
will blast the sirens. Unlike other alarms, if a
SimpliSafe Keypad were smashed, the alarm would continue
Defect #2: A Phoneline
The Tool: Scissors
Most alarm systems rely on just one
little plastic phone cord to send out your
alarm signal. So, all a burglar has to do to
your alarm useless, is snip it. Voila! The
never be alerted.
The Antidote: Go Cellular
At SimpliSafe we disapprove of any
alarm system calling itself wireless,
unless it’s able to connect to the monitoring
center with a
cellular connection. Each of our alarm systems is equipped
technology and we’ve partnered with T-Mobile
to send your
alarm signals directly to our 24/7

Our family LOVES our Simplisafe Home Security System! Thank you for offering excellent security at affordable prices. Our home is part of a small handful in our little neighborhood that has not been broken into and I believe we would not be able to say that if it wasn't for our Simplisafe system! Very, very happy customers!! Best purchase we ever made for our home and for our family, hands down!
Love the portability of this system for the home. Looking at renting a condo wanted something smaller and found your product. Seems like this would be perfect. Suggestions you ask?- something even more portable, a single sensor that travelers can add and remove easily from Hotel room doors. I never sleep soundly in a rented room, even in the most prestigious properties. This comes, I am sure, from working behind the house for a major hotel for 15 years.
This system is awesome. it works perfect. Customer service reps have been very helpful. Tips to share: Base unit centralized in the home provides even signal reception. Mount keypads away from electrical outlets and switches. Out buildings can work with the system up to 100 feet away. Nickname all your items / sensors. Program Simplisafe's phone numbers into your phone including the monitoring centers # for easy identification. We or at least I sometimes avoid calls I don't know who they are. Keep in mind this system does not require a phone line or cable line or Wifi connection. Backup power was recently put to the test when our power went out. The system immediately notified us when it went out and when it was restored. Paying got the additional monitoring features and phone use is worth the price. If you have issues with any sensors that keep saying open verify then one by one to ensure appropriate placement. Test your system and motion sensors to make sure coverage is good. Mounting motion sensors above 5 feet widens a gap below the sensor so try as best you can to keep them around 5 to 6 feet off the floor. Consider every opening to include Main garage door that operates with an opener. Basement windows. Glass break for over lap. Keep in mind if they don't open a door or window but break the glass you might want to have over lapping coverage just in case along with motion detectors and you will have everything covered. You can utilize your remote to disarm before activating the garage door opener so you don't have to run into the house. Several settings are available for lights on the base, sound volume and more to include entry and exit times. Any questions message me.
Awesome product, I've read no bad reviews. I've been looking at the various packages and options on your website... my primary interest is being alerted to intruders when we're home, protecting the large spaces downstairs and the stairwell to the maser suite upstairs. I'm thinking motion detectors more so than entry sensors... better to buy the "Economy Package" and add on?
